I started a new blog on tumblr. It is mostly just sketches that I do at random. Most of them are drawn from inside my car and some from other places. Check it out. Follow it.

Website Drawing for Seventh Wave Surf Shop LB
I recently got the opportunity to make a drawing for the website of the new surf shop in Long Beach, Seventh Wave Surf Shop. This is a cool little shop located in the heart of Long Beach on 7th St. Even though there has not been waves in Long Beach for quite some time there is still a strong surf community here. It is good to see a locally owned shop pop up. This shop carries tons of small, up and coming, local brands as well as the well known surfboards from Tim Stamps. Go check it out!
Here is my drawing featured on the front page of the website.

New Logo for Harbour Surfboards
This is my take on the classic Harbour triangle. Original logo made with water color and ink. I designed this logo for the new line of retro short boards Harbour Surfboards came out with this spring. The boards not only look killer but they ride well too. I am stoked to have my logos on them!

New Design for Harbour Surf Day
Here is the t-shirt for this years annual Harbour Surf Day. I designed the shirt to commemorate Harbour Surfboards for residing at the same address for 50 years! Harbour Surfboards has been around since 1959 but has now been at the same store front since 1962.

Fun Day
Couple of photos from a fun day of body surfing. I even broke the strap on my handplane. Pretty stoked because I can see how to make my straps stronger.

Handplane Demo Day Was A Success
The surf may have been small but that didn't stop anyone from having fun. There was a great turn out with lots of homemade crafts. Special thanks to Andrea and her family of Being Free, Harbour Surfboards, and The Canvas Shop Seal Beach for their help in making this event possible.

Handplane Demo Day- August 25th
Grab a pair a fins and get down to Anderson St. on Saturday August 25th for some handplaning fun. This is just a day for people to come down and try many different types of handplanes and enjoy the ocean. Leave the surfboards at home and bring your sense of humor. Any planing device is welcome. Fast food trays, cookie sheets, frisbees, pieces of your fence in the backyard...you name it. If it has a flat surface we want to see you riding it in the surf! The body womping starts at 8am and there will be coffee and donuts while you discuss the totally awesome time you had in the water. Contributors include: Harbour Surfboards, Canvas Shop Seal Beach, Jeff Beck of Nine Lights, Being Free, Recycled Stoke, myself, and many more.
See you There!

Put The Ruler Down!
This is an illustrated book I made for one of my final projects this semester. It is based on my adventures of strange or unfortunate incidents that have occurred while riding my bike to class all wrapped up into one day. The book is a little over twenty pages long. I made this book from start to finish: illustrating, writing, printing and binding.
Here are just a couple of spreads in the book.

Handplane in CSULB University Art Muesum "Insights 2012" Show
My final project from Wood shop made it into the annual University Art Museum "Insights 2012" art show at CSULB. Pretty cool to have a handplane amongst all this other awesome art!
The handplane is made from free bamboo plywood samples that I glued together and shaped. Then I soaked the bamboo in red wine for 24 hours to get the dark burgundy stain and sealed it with UV curing polyester resin.
